Thank you so much for your releases!! Does Aerandria intend to finish scanlating this series?

    • Minnako says:

Yes, I’m sure all the fans are as interested as ever, and willing to *patiently* wait for Aerendria to release the rest of this series :)

  2. Ciel says:

SO UPSET about the news!!!(well it makes sense since Kaori is now busy with her children and might not have enough time to draw) I guess there would only be 4 volume to this one. Got some news one this Kaori Yuki dedicated site

THANK YOU SO MUCH AERANDRIA FOR THE CONTINUOUS EFFORT OF RELEASING THIS SERIE!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! HOPE YOU KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

  3. Lokin says:

If 18th was going to be the last…was it due to the lack of popularity//cancelling(axe) like the Weekly Shonens ones?

Or simply Yuki-sensei has other things at hands as projects right now?

Well…I don’t know but,her series could be made into an anime if it was serialized in a seinen magazine, probably…
That’s more like her genre to the usual dark//mysterious genres~
    There’s just more audiences type to Seinen than Shoujo ^^;

    • Yeah there was an announcement on that in a previous issue, I’m still puzzled about how she’s going to put chapters 13-18 in one volume ^^; But if she keeps it to at least 50 pages for the 18th chapter she’ll be able to publish it in one volume. But usually there are about 200 pages or less for a volume, so 13-16 would be volume 4 which will be released May 2010, and volume 5 will contain 17-18 if 18 is more than 50 pages ’cause usually endings have longer pages. I think she might put Camelot Garden in there if we’re lucky ^^ it would make sense if she did.

      • Minnako says:

I originally hoped the news that it was ending soon would mean we’d get a full 5th volume’s worth. Camelot Garden makes sense, and I’d love it to be released in English as part of the NKG volumes as it looks very pretty. But I feel cheated out of a series that looks like it could have translated well into a longer format.

Still, on the plus side, being shorter means the series is even more affordable to collect when it comes out in one’s language of choice :) And its being short is a plus point when I recommend it to people, since most of my friends don’t want to read epically long series. Still wish it had carried on, though. *sigh*

Here’s hoping she gets to do a longer manga next time around!

Thanks, Ellen for scanning it, and thank you to Aerandria for scanlating it, without which it wouldn’t have caught our attention. :)

I read that the next chapter to be published in Japan, chapter 18 will be the last. How sad is that? T_T

    • Yes, Bessatsu Hana to Yume June’s issue will be releasing the last chapter of this series. There will be more pages, color ones and that’s it for Ningyou. Volume 4 will be released May 2010, just so you know. I’m not sure if Yuki-sensei will be as active as before, but you’ll have to find out~

    • Steffie says:

Literally, I said “WHAT” to the screen when I saw the news the series was coming to the end. Then people looked at me weird… But UGH. I was sad to read it was ending :| Hopefully ends good though! :D

      • It was confusing for me personally, but I liked the series enough to go and buy issue after issue just to read it XD It’s a little longer than Ludwig by 2 chapters, so I’m guessing she’s going to start doing longer manga? The Cain Series was 13….so I just hope. I’m just waiting to see what she’ll do next and I’ll be waiting to scan it.

  5. Minerva says:

I guess we all want anime, however none of the kaori yuki works (except maybe Angel Sanctuary= 3OVAS) has been taken to the small screen. I would be willing to follow the show!!! Hopefully the Jap MAdhouse considers it.

    • Minnako says:

Ironically, I get the impression it’s the characteristic dark, twisted quality that makes it harder for her series. For all the darker anime out there, I can’t say that many shoujo ones are anything as dark or complicated as a Yuki Kaori work, and I fear companies would rather go with something safe and moe. Which would of course be their great loss!

I can really imagine a D. Gray-Man-ish ‘monster/guignol of the week’ format for NKG, I feel it would convert quite well to an anime. If anything the format leaves a lot of room for filler, which I don’t think I’d mind for a change…

      • Kelly says:

I was thinking the same thing that it should be an anime too. That would be AMAZING. :D I always wondered though, how they would make Lucille’s voice sound like O.o

  6. Minnako says:

I’d be happy if there was an anime, too! Thanks to Aerandria for bringing this manga to my attention :) I can’t wait until it comes out in English, but it’s not even mentioned on Viz’ website yet! *sigh*

As thanks, I want to share a couple of links to the atogaki (postscripts) from the ends of the volumes I found over at Angelic Voice It’s a mostly French site, but well worth looking at if you don’t mind spoilers. They’re also at mangahelpers thanks to Ellen Grieves. They’re only in tankoubons, so they haven’t been scanlated as far as I’m aware.

I can’t see what Volume 2 has to do with anything. It’s worth checking out the one from Volume 2 for the rather surreal picture of Kohaku in a maid outfit, smoking a cigarette and playing electric guitar. Yes, really. Boy, would I like to know what that is about!

    The first volume
first volume is Kohaku again. The lovely people whose Yuki Kaori site Angelic Voice translated this one into French. Out of interest, I used my fuzzy memory of French and Google Translate. Not sure if it’s any good (any French speaking fans willing to comment?) but if it is, you’re welcome to do with it what you will:

I have destroyed it as agreed.
When I wanted to tell you that I loved you, you already did not pay attention to this world. You did nothing but strike me again with hands full of blood, direct your burning gaze on me and insult me with your contemptuous words. That’ll teach you! Because today I feel much more real than the time when you constantly ignored my existence.

  7. Mad Hatter says:
